Über Facebook hat Twilight Time bereits zwei weitere Columbia-Titel bekannt gegeben, die innerhalb der Lizenzvereinbarung mit Sony demnächst auf Blu-ray erscheinen werden: “Picknick / Picnic” [USA 1955, Joshua Logan] mit Kim Novak und William Holden und “Pal Joey” [USA 1957, George Sidney] mit Rita Hayworth, Kim Novak und Frank Sinatra.
Yes, Rafael, you can–we’ll tease you with two: Picnic and Pal Joey will be coming up soon.
Außerdem hat sich das Label zu den Preisen der Discs geäußert:
Hi Robert–we share your concerns about price, after all we are consumers too. Studios can market their Blu-rays at a low price-point because of the volume-based infrastructure. No independent outfit, not even the gold-standard Criterion, can compete with that. Our model is a limited-unit pressing of 3,000 for all our titles, and to (hopefully) maintain Criterion-like quality our prices have to logically reflect theirs – the good news is that not all of our Blu-rays will be priced identically, and we believe that our Sony line will likely be in the $29.95 – $34.95 range. As we mentioned below, “Fright Night” will be approx. $29.95 and we will go back and forth on pricing until we know what the right number is. Thought of the day: the better the titles sell, the more likely it is we can keep the prices down – conversely, the opposite applies!
Neue Bonusmaterialien wird es – abgesehen von den geplanten isolierten Musik-Tonspuren – leider keine geben:
Our contract with Sony precludes us from generating new “bonus materials” but if the studio owns any pre-existing materials, already cleared for release, those can be included.
