Die Oscar-Nominierungen 2015

Die Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hat heute um 14:30 Uhr unserer Zeit die Nominierungen für die Oscar-Verleihung 2015 bekannt gegeben. Die 87. Academy Awards finden am 22. Februar 2015 statt.

Mit jeweils neun Nominierungen gehen „Birdman (oder die unverhoffte Macht der Ahnungslosigkeit) / Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)“ [USA / CDN 2014, Alejandro González Inárritu] und Wes Andersons „Grand Budapest Hotel / The Grand Budapest Hotel“ [USA / BRD / GB 2014] ins Rennen. „The Imitation Game – Ein streng geheimes Leben / The Imitation Game“ [GB / USA 2014, Morten Tyldum] mit Benedict Cumberbatch als Alan Turing hat Aussichten auf acht Auszeichnungen. Es folgen „American Sniper“ [USA 2014, Clint Eastwood] und mein persönlicher Favorit „Boyhood“ [USA 2014, Richard Linklater] mit jeweils sechs Nominierungen. „Foxcatcher“ [USA 2014, Bennett Miller], „Interstellar“ [USA / GB 2014, Christopher Nolan], „Die Entdeckung der Unendlichkeit / The Theory of Everything“ [GB 2014, James Marsh] über Stephen Hawking und „Whiplash“ [USA 2014, Damien Chazelle] wurden jeweils fünf Mal nominiert. Etwas enttäuscht bin ich darüber, dass „Nightcrawler – Jede Nacht hat ihren Preis / Nightcrawler“ [USA 2014, Dan Gilroy] nur in der Kategorie für das beste Original-Drehbuch nominiert wurde.

    Ich muss auch noch anmerken, dass es ein Skandal ist, dass „The LEGO Movie“ nicht für „Animated Feature Film“ nominiert wurde.

    Ansonsten: Meryl Streep ist wieder mit dabei … zum 19. Mal übrigens. Roger Deakins hat seine 12. Nominierung erhalten und die dritte in Folge, hat aber noch nie einen Oscar mit nach Hause nehmen dürfen. Bradley Cooper hat auch einen Lauf mit seiner dritten Nominierung in Folge, einen Oscar hat er bisher noch nicht. Das hat er mit seinen Mitnominierten in der Kategorie „Actor in a Leading Role“ gemein: Keiner der fünf Herren hat bisher eine der begehrten Oscar-Statuen zu Hause stehen.
